PhotOlympic – The World Photography Olympiad
The only global photography competition held in real time.
The tradition of the "Frame24" festival began in Serbia, in the city of Novi Sad, in 2014, when photographers from 14 European countries gathered in the streets of the city. Their goal was to introduce people to the culture and history of Serbia through photography, vividly demonstrating the life, customs, traditions, and uniqueness of the people.
Over eleven years, 11 festivals have been held, with photographers from various countries and continents participating.
In 2024, we are broadcasting the festival to the whole world - the First World Photo Olympic Competition - "PhotOlympic" 2024.
The World Photography Olympiad (PhotOlympic) aims to preserve, promote, and develop national and global cultural heritage through the art of photography.
The project was founded and is organized by the “24th Frame” Photography Club from Novi Sad, Serbia, in partnership with the “Art Portrait” Photography Club.
The competition is held under the certification of the International Association of Art Photography (IAAP), with the support of national and international photographic federations, associations, communities, and cultural ambassadors.
About 80 participating countries (Russia, Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, USA, Chile, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, England, Ireland, France, Germany, Greece, etc.), around 1300 photographers have applied to participate, and more than fifteen thousand photos. The final competition will take place from October 4-6, 2024, in Serbia, in the city of Novi Sad.

From January to June, during the online phase of the project, three qualification rounds are held. Based on the results, the international jury selects 96 photographers to participate in the semi-final and final stages of the Olympiad.
In 2025, more than 1,500 photographers from over 90 countries took part in the qualification rounds. Their works were evaluated through all stages of the competition — qualifications, semi-finals, and finals — by 50 international jury members.
To encourage the exchange of experience and artistic ideas, PhotOlympic 2025 included masterclasses and lectures by leading international photographers, presentations of new photographic equipment, conferences, and photographic tours of exhibition and museum centers, bringing together more than 400 participants.
