Who Can Participate?
Photographers are invited to participate, including both amateurs and professionals from all over the world.

How to Apply?

1. Register on the website https://theiaap.com/e/olympics/
2. Upload your images to the four section.
3. Pay the registration fee.
4. After payment, you will receive a confirmation email.

I just registered but haven’t received a confirmation email. What should I do?

• Check your "Spam" or "Junk" folder.
• Add "photolympic@gmail.com" to your contact list or approved senders.

What is the application deadline?

First Round
Submissions are accepted from 00:00 London time (GMT) on January 13, 2025, until 24:00 London time (GMT) on March 9, 2025. Submissions after this date will not be accepted.

Registration Fee
The one-time participation fee is 20 EUR and covers the whole competition (qualifications, semifinals and finals) - of course, only if you qualify for all of them.

Themes for the first round
A. OPEN COLOR (color digital)
B. NATURE (color & mono digital)
C. PHOTO JOURNALISM (color & mono digital)
D. PORTRAIT (color & mono digital)

How many photos can be submitted?

First Round:
You can upload 4 photos per theme, for a total of 4 themes.

Second Round:
You receive 4 new themes and you can upload 4 new photos per theme. Only new photos are allowed.

Third Round:
You receive 4 new themes and you can upload 4 new photos per theme. Only new photos are allowed.

Can the same photo be submitted to multiple categories?
No, a single photo can`t be submitted to multiple categories.

Can published works be submitted?
Yes, published works are allowed.

Can photos that participated in other competitions be submitted?
Yes, photos that have participated in other international competitions are allowed.

Are there any restrictions on when the photos were taken?
No, there are no restrictions on the creation date of the photos.

Can photomontage and artificial intelligence be used?
Photomontage and artificial intelligence are not allowed.

File Size

• Maximum file size: 2 MB
• Photos must be saved in jpg format with a resolution of 300 dpi in the RGB color model.

Image Editing

• Minimal editing (e.g., brightness, cropping, contrast, color adjustments) is allowed.
• Photos generated using artificial intelligence are not allowed.

Results:

First Round:
One-third of participants from each country will qualify for the second round.

Second Round:

• Photographers from countries with fewer than 12 participants in the first round and fewer than 4 in the second round will be grouped into an "International Team."
• Four photographers from each country, along with 4 photographers from the "International Team," will advance to the third round.

Third Round:
A total of 96 photographers, regardless of country, will qualify for the semifinals from the third round.

Semifinal

On August 19th 2025, at 10:00 local time, all photographers will receive a list of 24 themes and must take the photos by 11:00 local time, on August 20th 2025.

Participants must upload one photo per theme by 19:00 local time on August 20th 2025. After this time, uploads will no longer be possible.

The jury will evaluate the photos until 11:00 local time, on August 21st 2025, when the results will be published, and 24 finalists will be announced for the final competition.

Final

On August 22nd, 2025, at 11:00 local time, all photographers will receive a list of 24 themes and must take the photos by 11:00 local time, on August 23rd 2025.

Participants must upload one photo per theme by 19:00 local time, on August 23rd 2025. After this time, uploads will no longer be possible.

The jury will evaluate the photos until 10:00 local time, on August 24th 2025, when the results will be published, and the winners will be announced.
